Quantity Discount Modification

just installed the qd plugin which works well if you want it for minusing discounts. i know my bare basics on php/html, so can anyone point me in the right direction to change the code so instead of minus discount i can make it a fix price. i only need it on the catergory setting, so basically intead of minusing the $disc_amount i want it to replace the price with $disc_amount . ive got 40 or so items in one catergory wanting to make them one price when they buy 10+, there is two prices in this cattergory though :)
