Category Specific Access Restriction (CSAR) - [Support Thread]

I have tried CSAR 2.1.2 and messed up the 1.5.5f admin and website on both attempts. I just want to see if anyone has successfully installed the CSAR 2.1.2 on ZC 1.5.5f.

Is there a reason why you want to use an older version with known issues discussed in this thread?
As of this post, it is version v2.2.0

When I download latest from the ZenCart website it downloads 2.1.2 as the latest version.

Alright folks, looks like the mods had blessed the version I uploaded.
Make sure you are using the latest one which was contributed by me,
There was a serious security circumvention bug that was not fixed prior to this.

My website does have some addins but no 1.5.5f code changes. Should I be able to copy the CSAR files as is from the download to the website?

Theoretically. I've based the current package off of 1.5.5f. But you should follow the specified requirements written on the package description to ensure your success in implementation. like any packages, make sure you read everything with the package carefully before attempt to implement anything.

I coped the CSAR_Files as is and I added the category IDs that I did not want accessed without a log in. However when I tested the website the website just went to the login page like it did before the plugin upgrade. I am running 1.5.5f. I have tried merging four times now un-succesfully. I am going to try one more time. CSAR worked on my old 1.5.1 version.

I finally was able to get a merged version of the CSAR files copy over to my website.
I entered 1,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10,11,12,13 into the "Set Categories Requiring Customer To Login" leaving 2 out since that is the only category that I want people to see if the do not login. But if you start the website the login screen appears first.

Is there any chance you would take a look at this website?
