Change/Alter/Edit the date in Admin of an order DELIVERED??

Hi,

Is there a way to change the dates stamped on the Order status updates?
I forgot to mark one of my orders as Delivered over a month ago and if I mark it now it will have today's date as the shipping date! (Right now the order still says processing.)

I'm sure this can be done in the database but not sure how?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Set the status, and add a comment stating that it was shipped on XXXXXX date. That's one of the many possible uses of the comments field.

Do you know a way to alter the actual date in the database?

I would rather doing that than adding comments.

It's more professional and I would rather that.

Only by using phpmyadmin and editing the database. Not recommended.

When this happens to me I change the status, hide the entry and update with a note to myself.
This updates so you when in the admin can see whats happened
The stock reports will be correct for the final status.
No email is sent to the customer to confuse them.

If they ever look in their account they will still see the incorrect status, but they don't care.

I have done that in the past but I have always wanted to figure out a way to alter the dates.

I know a little about altering things in the database and would love to figure out how to do it.

I have backed up my database and I am keen to try to change it with your professional guidance.

In case anyone is interested, I have found a way to alter the dates..

Backup your Database 1st!!!!

Only After backup, go into phpmyadmin under your database, click on Orders_Status_History, than look for the Order ID you want changed, click on Edit and there you can alter the DATE the order was created or when updated, you can also edit the Comments you might have used in the update, than click GO :).
