Default How good is the Chase Paymentech payment module?

I'm thinking of signing up with Chase Paymentech because I found a module for them in the plugins section.

But is it a good/reliable/secure payment module? (I have HTTPS) It's only version 1.0 from 2007... seems old?

From my limited understanding when I talked to a rep for a brief moment, I think they use Authorize.net for something/some how don't they? The plugin talks about the Orbital Gateway...

If it is using Orbital, then it isn't using Auth.Net.

I can't speak to the module in question but my Dollars On The Net module will likely cost you less per transaction for the gateway fee, is extremely secure and supports all the processors in North America.

So I would use the "Dollars On The Net" (are you saying this is a module you created?)

So if that's the module, who would be the processor? Still chase? Or is there a better/cheaper option available?

    Thanks.

Yes, Dollars on the Net would be your gateway and it connects go whichever processor you choose. So you can shop around for the lowest cost merchant services and we handle the connectivity to whomever you choose.

Is there a master list of the available options with their pricing etc? I don't even know where to begin. I know Authorize.net is out there, but their fees seem high.

There's no 'master comparison list' I'm aware of, and wouldn't trust it I found one. You just have to do your homework, and search the Web for information. My experience has been that once you wade through all the marketing fluff, the major CC processors all end up charging about the same thing.

I switched to Paypal Express when all the PCI nonsense started, and haven't regretted it.
