Image Urls

Can ZC use remote image files or must they reside with the installation?
My attempts to utilize remote result in no images & find their url being prefixed with my store's url.

It is best to have them in your install - relying upon another site for your images is just not a good idea

I'm taking your advice but have another problem. Converting the downloaded the image files from supplier's provided feed with WinHTTrack Web Copier, the name was converted from uppercase to lowercase and my site is failing to display them (AA246.jpg to aa246.jpg, extension not changed). I assume the case change is responsible.
Please recommend a solution appropriate for my quite limited capabilities?

It is the case change.. you can Google free file renaming programs.. (there are a few pretty good ones) You can use one of these programs to mass update the case of the file names in all your image files.
