Accidentally deleted a product category

Hi,

I accidentally deleted a product category and its products. How do I recover it from a backup database while keeping the same id?

You just restore your db. That's it. Everything will be exactly as it was at the time of the backup. If you are unsure, you can backup first your already butchered status then restore the last backup. This way you can go back to what you have right now in case you don't like your older backup version.

Ok, if your backup is out of date I suggest you only temporarily restore the old db (make a current backup first). Then install the EasyPopulate 4.0 Beta as it will allow you to export all your products.

Or any other EasyPopulate but I like this version best, don't be fooled by the beta. It works great.

So once you have the EP installed, do a full export of all your products. Then restore your current db and import all your products with EP.

PS: I think you will have to do the EP install one more time with the new DB restored for it to work properly.
