Default Removing links from footer. V:1.5.1 with A Modern Zen Template.....help needed

I have read posts that tell me to go to EZ pages and configure...There is nothing in my EZ Pages to configure. I have read other post that describe in detail how the edit tpl_footer.php.

Nothing seems to work. All links remain in the footer. How do I remove them?

    Thank you

    /includes/templates/a-modern-zen/common/tpl_footer.php

You will need a ftp program
    Freeware

    Commercial

upload the /includes/templates/a-modern-zen/common/tpl_footer.php to your local computer, change the links and upload it back to your site.

Thank you rbarboar I do have filezip (love it). Your suggestion worked. By deleting just the links, I was able to keep the footer for other stuff...perfect!
    Thank you again.
