Default Responsive Layouts - Newbie not looking for an argument just an Inquiry

    http://zenlyzen.com/responsive/index...sheffield_blue
    http://zc-preview.responsivezencart....me=zc-francine

The two links above are for comparison only and looking for explanations other than 1 is a paid for template and one is free!
Why are the ones by picaflor-azul different from the ones by responsive zen cart? Or better yet what are the difference?
Is one coded differently? What is BootStrap in laymen terms?
Which one is easiest to work with?

Thank you in advance for guiding me,

My responsive templates are built using the DIY responsive template default by rbarbour--thank you Raymond! It looks like the other paid template is using the bootstrap framework.

If you need more info about responsive design techniques or bootstrap I would recommend using google ;)

    Thanks,

    Anne

Why would I use Google? (Besides the obvious reason that they use everyone themselves) I want true life experience not someone trying to get listed with irrelevant information. Don't get me wrong i like your templates Anne but they just don't feel right on an iPad mini!
The first one posted has no core overwrites and looks awesome!

I do appreciate any feedback about the templates. Please post to the template thread to let me know about any issues you find, no matter how small. It's the only way that I can improve the packages.

    Thanks,

    Anne

The only difference is that Anne's, picaflor-azul templates do not rely on any framework except for ZC's.

Yes, a picaflor-azul template is controlled by ZC stock classes and id along with template specifics. Where the other adds id's and classes to the stock ZC code to use the bootstrap framework.

A CSS and jQuery framework. Means they use common "standard" id's and classes to control the look and feel of one HTML content.

Your most welcome Anne! I love the fact that you are contributing so many well designed responsive templates to the community at no charge.

    @uswebworks

That is the other major difference - Anne will always and continue to upgrade, support and enhance her templates.

I suggest that you use the bootstrap because otherwise you will be outdated compared to the rest of the world :))
If you want to know what is different, you need to know what the developers do. Some templates look really nice but the code is extremely bad :)

If validation is what your talking. 99% of the Big Box etailers do not have sites that validate. Doesn't mean the code is extremely bad. WOW

No, the validation is required for each template so I don't talk about it. I spoke about a few templates taking too much unnecessary code, load too much css/javascript, break down the structure of the zen cart default and causing too much complexity for users.
