    Default W3C errors

    Hello All

I have around 6 of these errors:

Error Line 158, Column 68: & did not start a character reference. (& probably should have been escaped as &.)

    index.php?main_page=redirect&action=banner&goto=26" target="_bla…

Does anyoneknow how I can find these and what I need to do to fix it.

    Thanks
    Regards
    Renz

Try searching for the link using developers toolkit and narrow down where the code is located. It's difficult to fully help without a link but your site must be xhtml, so you need to include amp; after every & the same that has been done in your link...

Have you installed a url rewrite mod or a redirection mod?

From what I can see from your code the errors seem to occur each time there is a redirect. So I am guessing the issue stems from a line of code in the mod. Have a look through the files for the mod and check where & isn't closed with amp; Maybe someone else can offer their 2 cents. If it was me I would be checking there first.

If you paid for the mod I am sure the developers may offer their help should you become stuck?

I think you have a similar issue to this...

Unfortunately I wouldn't be able to help you fix it. I would suggest contacting the developers if you cant get a solution from someone here.

Well thanks for your help so far,

I have spoken to the people that sold me this module on more than one occasion about this issue, their response are:

1: Yes, all these modules are compatible with the last version of ZenCart.
    2: Please note, that these are URLs like " index.php?main_page=redirect&action=banner&goto=26" target="_bla "
You can see that those are your banners URLs that redirect to the specific page. Power SEO does not work with the banner URLs.
3: Talking about the banner URLs, they have a redirect action.
And definitely this was not written/rewritten by our module, but should be manually set. Your web-developer can change it per your needs.

As this is a brand new install of Zen Cart, and it's not their module then all Zen 1.5.1 Vs have this issue right?

    Uhhmmm

Not that I have encountered. I still believe it to be the mod. If you can't get satisfaction from the developers I wouldn't be downhearted. Even Google and Facebook aren't w3c compliant.

Some people have had the same issue with simple seo. I checked the support thread for that particular mod and the issue was resolved. I am not sure if the same can be applied to Power Seo, but I reckon it would be worth a go as I don't think there is much difference in the two mods. Of course backup first.

    Solution offered here... http://www.zen-cart.com/showthread.p...250#post690250

    Good luck.
