Shows Florida Taxes Before login

when customers browse site and than place item in cart they think they are paying taxes until they create account, Which than shows it without taxes. I dont want them to think they r paying taxes. how do i turn that off and still collect Florida taxes.

In Configuration ... My Store ... what is your setting on:

Basis of Product Tax
On what basis is Product Tax calculated. Options are
Shipping - Based on customers Shipping Address
Billing Based on customers Billing address
Store - Based on Store address if Billing/Shipping Zone equals Store zone

 Shipping
 Billing
 Store

It should be set to Shipping ...

but how does it know where they live if they haven't Registered?

You do not need Tax until checkout ...

i know, i have had some calls because they thought they were being charged more, i told them to continue with checkout and it will correct it self. I dont want the calls.

With that change are you or are you not seeing the tax rate on the Product price?

If you still see the tax rate on the Product Price ... check your Zone Definition for Florida and see what the DETAILS are and make sure that you have set it to:
Country: United States
Zone: Florida

shopping cart contents shows taxes.
i have not logged in.
i thought you should not see taxes until continue to check out and create an account with an address

ever since i change from store to shipping i cant log in to admin.
Name and Password just repeats, meaning i get no wrong password message.

CHanging the shipping method can have no effect on admin login; you must have messed something else up at the same time you did that.
No idea what though...
