How do I add attributes?

I have spent several hours trying to figure this out and I know it must be simple...
I want to add "Condition" to show on the product page and I want to be able when I add a new product to either select from 3 condition options, (that I create), OR just type in the condition of the product and have that condition information show on the product page, right by the price or the quantity.

Thanks for the reply but I can't get this to work and display as I want it.
I need something that will ALWAYS be present on the product listing page, (the admin panel where I add new products), such as price, quantity, etc. where I can select the "condition" from 3 different options: NS, SV, AR and have the value that I select display on the product page below the price or quantity.
How do I do that?
