Maxed out Product Description?

Is there a limit on size for the product description file?

I seem to have hit a brick wall and it plays havoc with my page. Everything seems to truncate at a certain size...in this case about 700 lines..

Help?!?

The product_description field is defined as a MEDIUMTEXT variable-character. See this (http://stackoverflow.com/questions/1...-storage-sizes) posting that contains a good description of each of the text-based sizes (and how utf8 storage affects the number of bytes stored).

when i save the html file in notepad++, it is only 72k

I think that is a long way from the max showing on the MEDIUMTEXT parameters...am I just not understanding?

In my clean installation, the description is TEXT and not MEDIUMTEXT. This would mean you will only have 63k

well now, that makes more sense...cuz I can get most of what i want in there, but it truncates the last bit.

You could change the type from TEXT to MEDIUMTEXT. I am not sure what that does on performance.

Why not add a second product description field? Only takes a couple minutes...
