Image attributes not being added?

On a certain page of my site, not all the image attributes appear to be showing. I have counted, and it appears there to be exactly 30- so I was wondering if there was a hard limit or if there is something else stopping the image from showing.

Based on your naming conventions, I am not seeing:
/images/attributes/505-40.jpg

and the others if I try to go to them directory ...

Are you sure that they are loaded to the server and that they are added to the Attributes?

What's actually happening is that the options for the image 505-40 is not showing in the attribute list; so I can't add or change anything.

Apologies but I did not explain this very well.
It was just that I could only see 30 attributes in admin.
I found the solution on one of your other posts which was to change the maximum value setting in Config - maximum values - Product Attributes-
