Recommended Payment Modules?

Hi everybody,

I'm new to zen cart although i've used other shops like magento.
I've to implement payment modules for a new shop and would like to ask which payment modules
would you recommend for paypal and creditcard payments?

the thing is that i've searched a lot inside this forum and on the zen cart site but i don't haven an
excat clue where to start from here!

I think by "modules" you really mean "providers" ... because the choice of software module to use is determined by your payment-processing provider, that is, the payment gateway service you're paying a monthly fee to do the actual processing of credit cards and deposit the funds into your bank account.

As for PayPal, PayPal support is already built-in to Zen Cart.

As for Credit Cards, there are several built-in modules which you can use if you engage the corresponding payment gateway for them.

thank you very much for the infos! you're definitly right and therefore i'll have look into the different providers which are out there, maybe there are some which are most suitable for austria, we'll see.
the paypal option can be used out of the box right? guess there are only the costs of paypal itself?

Correct. And, unlike all other credit card processing companies, paypal has no "hidden fees".
