Order not showing up in customers account or in admin

I am using a test account to check if orders are working OK. I placed an order a testing customer with a coupon for 100% off the order. The email was sent and the link to download the products worked fine. If I go into the testing my account all info for the test customer is there but no orders are showing up. If I go into the admin account and check orders there is nothing there also.

I am using the add order from admin add on and the add customer add on. Is anyone else having an issue like this.?

Any ideas where I should start looking? The order is in the database.

I finally figured out most of it. You can't have the admn order status set to complete or it will not show up either in the customers account or in admin. And if the coupon is for a free product you must have Default Order Status For Zero Balance Orders in admin set to someting other than default.

Now the problem I'm having is when the customer checks out and the order comes up there is another random product showing up with the download files that has no file attached or with 0 bytes and with no download button, so they can only download the file they purchased.

This is a lot harder to setup than I thought.

If you only have 1 Payment module ... install the Check/Money Order moneyorder but set it to disabled ...

See if that corrects the problem ...

I tried that but has the same result. Its funny that it always picks a random product that there isn't a price for nor a download icon to use. It gives the file name but with 0 bytes.
