    Very flexible.. dunno what you're learning that says otherwise.. Perhaps you're working off of MIS-INFORMATION... or perhaps you SKIMMED this thread and walked away with the wrong understanding about how online shopping works all the way around..

    As stevesh pointed out.. perhaps you've not heard of COWOA or FEC..

    Another point..

    The truth of the matter is that whether you shop online or at a brick & mortar retail location you are probably giving the seller ALL YOUR INFORMATION.. (or have you forgotten about the customer data hacks at the brick & mortar retailers reported in the news over the last year or two)

    Even if you are paying CASH some retailers are collecting your name, address, and phone numbers at checkout.. Everytime you signup for one of those "discount spending cards" you are giving the retailer your PERSONAL DATA..
