Problem with checkout display

I’m configuring a new install of Zencart 1.5.1 and I noticed that when I go through the checkout, Step 2 of 3 / Payment Information displays like this:

Your Total

Sub-Total:$55.10
Shipping (Shipping to CA (1 x 1.26kg)):$20.25
5.0% GST on books: $2.76
5.0% GST on shipping + 8.0% HST on shipping:$ 2.63
Total: $80.74

In an older version of Zencart, the items ordered were listed right before the subtotal/shipping/tax section. In this new install, there's no product listing there. Where is the option to turn this on? I think it is important for customers to see what they’re ordering every step of the way.

I have designed and operated ZC stores since version 1.3.7.1 (2007) and can not recall this feature being available. As far as I know the cart listing is only visible to the customer on the Shopping Cart page proper and on the Checkout Confirmation page - the last step before they actually pay for their goods.

But, if you wanted this feature, I think custom coding would be necessary to display the cart listing on all the other pages.

thanks for your reply! Yes, the cart listing definitely is visible on the Shopping Cart and Confirmation pages but I'm sure it was previously also on the Payment Info page - hmm, for all I know I'm having a senior moment, lol.

Maybe adding the cart listing throughout the checkout process could be a suggestion for a future version of Zencart?

Sonja, you could install the Fast and Easy Checkout module (FEC) which reduces the number of steps during checkout.
