We just finished the upgrade to v1.5.3 and as soon as the dust settles, our host will be upgrading php and mysql.
IF you had your choice, are there any specific PHP and MySQL versions that you would choose over the other versions available?
That is, versions that do not require any tweaks to zencart files to maintain functionality and should go without saying "No current PCI vulnerabilities".

The general buzz I've heard lately is just to use the latest available "stable" version. ("Stable" defined by the software publisher itself, ie: not beta or not-yet-officially-released.)
