Searching by UPC, ISBN, EAN

My catalog search does not seem to be working correctly. It will search by Model, Title, Description, etc. However, it will NOT search by UPC, ISBN, or EAN numbers.

How would I go about fixing this problem?

(This is not an issue in the admin search, just the catalog search)
Any help would be fantastic, thank you!

You'll need to install each of those tables/variables to the advanced search code. I believe Twitch Hidden Searchable Model Number can be your guide.

Well I already have the fields/table columns for products_upc, products_isbn, and products_ean. I would be happy to simply incorporate them into the advanced search code, but I'm not sure which file to edit, what code to insert, or where to put the code.

I'm not so sure I need to install a new module, since I already have the fields installed for what I'm looking for. I just need help on how to edit my code to make it so the upc, isbn, and ean are searchable.

You're right you don't need to install the twitch module, however all of the files and code within those files is what you need. It's spelled out in the instructions, if you follow through them you'll see where your existing product fields are already installed in the files. Instead of using 'products_model_spoon' use the names of the fields you want to search for - products_upc, products_isbn, and products_ean. Just add a new line of code for each instance of the products_model_spoon.

Okay, I understand what you're saying now. Took me a while, but I figured it out!
Turns out the person who was formerly in my position had edited the "custom" search php file, but not the standard one. And our website is pointing to the standard one, not the custom. All fixed, I just edited the standard one.
