Custom Cart Buttons Not Updating

Hello there! I have ZenCart version 1.5.3 and I downloaded it through my host, GoDaddy. I'm writing because I've exhausted all previous forum posts and can't seem to figure out why my custom buttons for updating the cart (double arrows) and deleting cart contents (trashcan icon with arrow) aren't updating to my new buttons. I've created a custom button_names.php and uploaded all my new buttons into shop/includes/templates/CUSTOM/buttons/english but these last two remaining buttons just won't switch over to my new ones. I've viewed the source code and it looks like they are still being called from the default template but I don't know why. Any help would be greatly appreciated! My site is currently live but I haven't announced it yet- want to keep it on the down low while I'm figuring everything out. I currently just have a few testing products in there. I'm almost done customizing my cart to look like my existing site (finally!), but this is one of those last persisting issues.

It seems that the images used for those buttons have to be .gif to display. I don't know why, but someone else will. If you can save your custom images as .gifs, they should work.

You can edit /includes/languages/english/button_names.php to match the new names of your images to their "defined" values.

Thanks so much, Stevesh that worked! Strange about the .gif format but I'm not going to question it, just glad I got it fixed! Thanks again!

Hi Iat9,

I tried updating that file but for those two buttons a .jpg extension wouldn't work. When I used .jpg's the cart reverted to the default template file. Very strange, I used .gif extensions instead for those two buttons only and it worked! Thanks for your help, though!
