    Default lumping items into one

Not a clue on what you would call this. I have a item the is made from a couple items. I'm wanting to set it up so when a person buys item A it will lower my inventory of the items that make up item A

Sorry, what exactly are you trying to achieve? Can you elaborate on this?

It's called kitting, where one product is made from a collection of other products in your store. There is not, to my knowledge, a plugin that currently provides this function.

There is one commercial mod that claims to provide this.
    I haven't tried it myself.

I have tried it as have some others on this forum, we weren't impressed. It needs a lot of work to be used on a real live site.
