It's because many seem to think I'm responding to the *person* rather than the *post*. (This is why I can still be quite helpful and even friendly to people that I've had major disagreements with in the past). It's not that I don't hold grudges. It's simply that I can't remember them all. <g>

Thanks to both of you so much for the replies! I assumed I would be receiving email notifications when this post was commented on, but I haven't been (maybe they were going to spam for some reason). I completely agree with both of you about the 'coming soon' pages. The assignment won't be turned in with those pages. I just use the 'coming soon' type text for blank reference pages that I haven't created the content for yet.

I was sure that there was a way to create landing, about, and other essential pages within zen-cart, but as you stated, the learning curve is pretty steep. I'm looking forward to learning more about zen-cart, and am constantly disappointed with the teaching curriculum in my major (especially concerning ecommerce), but for now I've opted for what I know (static pages).

The project was to create both a personal portfolio and a website for a real client and then to post the link to the site for the real client within the portfolio. Yeah, I had to do all of that within a week on top of homework for four other classes and a job, haha. I have four hours until the dropbox for the assignment closes and now I'm having referencing errors (probably within the configure.php page, but I honestly don't know).

It's nice to talk to other web designers and I really appreciate the advice and insight. Feel free to continue mentoring me, haha. Meanwhile I'll be working on these referencing errors. Thanks again for your help!
