    Any "debug" logs?

    It may be worth upgrading to Zen Cart 1.5.x and switching to "Website Payments Pro" (acts as a payment gateway for credit cards via PayPal and is included in Zen Cart 1.5.x)...

    And don't forget the POODLE patches (probably not related but will affect your store sending data to other servers via SSL).

    No debug logs.

    Poodle patch was installed as soon as it was announced.

    We can't use WPP because we use an outside merchant for credit card processing.

    Did I miss something? I'm confused, I thought that paypal was contacted for payflow pro, ie paypal processes the payments, and now say can't use WPP because not using PayPal? What did I miss?

    Website Payments Pro is a combination payment processor and merchant account.

    Payflow Pro is a payment processor that connects to your existing merchant account.

    We use Elavon for processing payments.

    From what I understand Payflow Pro in US / CA operates as a payment gateway for credit cards only (not tied to WPP). It is not included in a stock installation of Zen Cart.

    I have not worked with Payflow Pro with Zen Cart. Hopefully someone else can chime in with some helpful hints.

    What I do know:
    • The Payflow Pro module was last updated in 2010.
    • PayPal Payflow Pro requires / uses the PayPal Express Checkout module (and specific settings).
    • A newer version of the PayPal Express Checkout module is available in Zen Cart 1.5 (and includes various enhancements, fixes, and patches).
    • Some people have reported using the Payflow Pro module successfully under Zen Cart 1.5.

    Same thing going on here.
    ZC 1.5.1 - upgraded from 1.3.8a where the same error 0 was happening. Hoped 1.5.1 would solve it.

    We get the initial charge from Payflow to PayPal, no order with the EC_xxx.log
    Minutes later a 2nd PayPal charge with another log, identical but no EC_ in the log name and with a different transaction#, same error but we get an order. Then have to refund the customer AND they get charged fees sometimes from their bank for refunds.

    I applied the fix post #24 here, but IT BROKE our admin, could not access some orders and the listing took several seconds to load. Reverted the code and all is normal. So that is not the fix for 1.5.1.

    Would really like this solved as

    With regards to the highlighted.. To my knowledge, the PayPal Payflow module does NOT require or need the PayPal Express Checkout module to function. However, you can configure the PayPal Express Checkout module so that you can manage BOTH PayPal Payflow & PayPal Express transactions using the PayPal Manager interface (which is where PayPal Payflow transactions are managed).. Otherwise you will have to login to two different places to manage PayPal Payflow transactions vs PayPal Express transactions.

    PayPal Payflow is a standalone payment module and I am having NO ISSUES with it working with Zen Cart v1.5.1. The link highlighted above reviews my specific setup.

    ETA: I have not tested the PayPal Payflow module with versions beyond v1.5.1. So if the current PayPal Payflow module in the downloads section is NOT compatible with versions beyond v1.5.1 of Zen Cart, then the PayPal Payflow module will need to be updated.. and if someone doesn't VOLUNTEER to do this (IF the work is in fact NEEDED) then folks who need this functionality will need to consider the possibility that they will have to PAY/HIRE someone to make any required changes (again.. IF there are updates needed.. still needs to be tested..)
