Default Getting cookie error when using Authorizenet (SIM) with FirstData

FirstData is deprecating their use of LinkPoint API. They are suggesting AuthorizeNet (slightly modified) as a workaround.

According to their instructions for using AuthorizeNet.
    https://firstdata.zendesk.com/entrie...n-Instructions

you have to give checkout_process as a page for them to call back to. But this page wasn't really ever meant to be loaded directly, so when it does load, it gives a cookie error (I believe what is happening is that init_includes/init_cart_handler.php sees that the session isn't started and throws an error).

This is independent of browser (happens in both Chrome and FF).

Hmmm ... I can't replicate the problem using ZC v1.5.3.

Is it perhaps a problem with specifying "example.com" in one spot but "www.example.com" in another? While those will take you to the same site, the cookie will be different and therefore not match, thus giving the kind of symptoms you're describing.

FirstData settings match - both do not have the "www." prefix before the site name.

I can't replicate it either by typing in the URL but it happens when First Data calls back to the cart.

Is the site you're working on really v1.3.9?
Perhaps since 1.5.x fixed some sessions issues maybe an upgrade is necessary?

FWIW I'm working on a new FirstData module to work with their newest API, but it's not ready for production use yet.

Yep, really 1.3.9. Let's see if anyone else reports this issue or has experiences with this version.

Setting Cookie Domain (under Admin->Configuration->Sessions) doesn't help.
