Default Free shipping options, for multiple regions?

I'm looking to see if there is a way set up something similar to the Free Shipping Option, but for multiple regions. The current module appears to only be able to handle rules for one region only. I haven't been able to find any solutions on the forums so far.

Is there another version or a way to hack in in such a way so that let say, domestic zone shipping gets to select free shipping if the customer buys $100 or more of products, and international zone customers would need to buy at least $200 or more to products to have access to the free shipping option?

    Thanks.

You could clone the Free Shipping Options freeoptions and set one Zone Definition on one of these and another Zone Definition on the other ...

Cloning a shipping module is where you copy the files:
    /includes/modules/shipping/freeoptions.php
    /includes/languages/english/modules/shipping/freeoptions.php

    to new names, such as:
    /includes/modules/shipping/freeoptionszone2.php
    /includes/languages/english/modules/shipping/freeoptionszone2.php

Then, do a global replace, that is case sensitive, for:
    freeoptions with freeoptionszone2
    FREEOPTIONS with FREEOPTIONSZONE2

Now, load the two files to your server ...

Apparently it's a little more involved that that. Looks like duplicating the module will show up on the admin page, as well as for the end user.
However upon 'installing' the module from the admin page by pressing the install button, the module will result a blank page. Reloading the admin page will show the two modules.
However, during check out, both original free shipping module and zone two will encounter a blank page when it the check out process hits step 2.

So I think there might be other conflicting global variables that might need to be changed for this to work.

Sounds like you might have a blank space(s) or blank line(s) either at the top of the file(s) before the <?php or after the ending ?> php tag at the bottom of the file(s) ...

Look in your /logs (this is /cache in older Zen Cart versions) and see what the debug log(s) read, as that would help to resolve this ...

What version of Zen Cart are you using?

Looks like my editor decided to add extra new lines and spaces for word wrapping.
So I went back to good ol' vi and edited the file that way.
looks like it works right now, going to test it a bit. Thanks, Ajeh
