HELP - Uninstalling Checkout by Amazon left me with error 500 (website & admin)

I "Removed" the Checkout by Amazon module in the Admin. I then deleted the CBA files and deleted the Amazon code in /includes/templates/templates_default/templates/tpl_shopping_cart_default.php

The result is:
1- I immediately get error 500 when I try to get into my website.

2- Admin - I can log in. but if I try to get into modules/payments I get an error 500 and the url line shows - http://www.sourceforherbs.com/xxxxxx...hp?set=payment

Do you have a copy of the deleted and edited files? If so, then copy them back to the server as this will almost certainly get the site functional again.

If you don't have a copy of the deleted files you should restore
/includes/templates/templates_default/templates/tpl_shopping_cart_default.php with an original copy from the zencart distribution files.

On reflection, you should restore this with a copy of the original ZenCart file anyway because this file should never have been modified in the 1st place (you should have edited a copy of it in *your* template folder.

IF you are lucky it will only be this file that is causing the problem.

I found a backup of that file and all is well.
