    Default Backup before Installing

Is it easy to uninstall modules or templates? Just wondering if I need to do a back-up for my site before installing each add-on module or add-on template?

How do you do a back-up for a site? Does it take a long time?

    Thanks.

I would definitely back up before you make any changes to your site. It is the safe thing to do.

    Thanks,

I would recommend backing up, too. This works well:

Uninstalling templates should be easy, unless you've chosen one that modifies a lot of core files or has SQL patches with no uninstall script. Mods are a mixed bag - some are easy to uninstall, some nearly impossible.

Also, all such experimentation should be done on a development server/version of your store. That way if something doe unfortunately go wrong, then can restore/replace with the live store information and no catastrophic failures of your live site...

I noticed it says "Ported to Zen Cart 1.5x. For Zen Cart 1.5.x ONLY;" in the version right below the latest one. Seems that the latest one is compatible with Zen Cart 1.5.4 as well?
