Can I reset hit counter back to Zero

[I wish I could]

I would like to reset my hit counter in Admin Home to zero. I would like to do this at the end of each financial year. I think the report would become more meaningful and easier to follow.
Is this a good idea?

o Are you installing locally? It’s already installed on my host. I am editing it there.
 What operating system? Windows 7
 What version of PHP is installed on the server? PHP 5.2.16


I'm on v1.5.1 so I don't know if your admin is similar to mine, but I just recently reset my hit counter.

Admin Home
Tools
Store Manager
Update Hit Counter (click "Reset"), (you can also specify a starting number)
