Fresh install of 1.5.4 New Products not showing on main page.

Hello,

I did a fresh install of 1.5.4. Since that I have lost the New products images, but the New Products heading is still there. I have made sure that the new products listing is set to "0".

Also I have noticed that the CSS files are now named stylesheet.css,stylesheet_css_buttons.css and print_stylesheet.css. Is this correct and the stylesheet_new.css and stylesheet_original.css have been replaced?

It appears that you've got a PHP error which is stopping the program from completing all the output activities, thus you're seeing only "part" of the page.

Consult the /logs/ folder on your server to see the actual PHP errors, and work at fixing those.

stylesheet_original.css and stylesheet_new.css were only placeholders to aid in converting from v1.2 to v1.3 templates.

You can have as many .css files as you wish. They will be intelligently automatically used based on certain filename naming rules, as described here: http://www.zen-cart.com/wiki/index.p...Per-Page-Rules

I don't think this would be the problem preventing the items to be displayed. I have checked the php file and there is nothing on line 854 that references M1. ( which is magenticone google feed)

umm shouldn't the setting be '1' if you want to display

I assume we are talking

Configuration -> Index Listing

Show New Products on main page

and set that to 1

Yes, that is set to 1.

what happens if you switch temporarily back to the "classic" template, does the problem go away?

When I switch to Classic view, the new products show in the side box ( which is probably how the classic view is set up). When I switch back I just have New Products for April, no items showing up.

Here is an update. I have uploaded all the Zen Cart file again. I have went through my custom files and deleted them one by one and I still can not get the new products for the month to show up.

Any other suggestions?

This time it's because it's not finding any matching products to display.

I have checked my configure.php files and the catalog is pointing to /images. I have went through the admin and made sure everything is set correctly.
