What address does the default contact us page message go to

Have a quick question, if the Contact Us page has not been modified, what email address does the question/message/comment by the customer go to? I sent a test message, but could not find it. I am assuming it is sending an email, just do not know what email address to create to receive these messages. On the other hand, how can I modify it to use an email address of my choice?
