I just restored to a working date and still not working

If everything was restored, everything should work right?
both sites 1.54 during no file changes at all

my root site won't load anymore : gelcandlecompany.com

my sub domain works fine: gelcandlecompany.com/wholesale

Does this mean the server is at fault?
I need to be sure before googling every error in logs.

Work each error log one at a time starting with the most recent...

Restoring may not have resolved the situation for a number of reasons, but seeing a 500 error by loading the site, there certainly is something going on...

Could post the error logs here provided that you obscure your admin directory or other particular sensitive information.

Loading your root site I get a blank page and in the address "maintenance"
You might look at the most recent debug logs for a clue as to what the error may be

I need to open each debug file and look for the latest error? is that correct? I have a bunch and they jump around in dates, is this right?

Since you said you've restored your site from an older date, your older log files are no longer relevant to today's troubles.
So, delete all the *.log files in your /logs/ folder.

Then click around your site, and it should generate new logs.

I deleted the log files but I can't click around my site since it's down. gelcandlecompany.com
My log files are empty now but I have a backup if necessary.

So the suggestion would be to try to access your site and see if a log file is generated. May have to refresh your ftp client to see the new file(s), if generated.

How can I access? Every page on my root site is not visible. I even tried visiting https://gelcandlecompany.com/index.php?main_page=login and no log files appear all I see are 3 files 2 index and 1 htaccess file.
