PayPal issues, please help

I'm using 1.5.5c The only Payment Module that is active is PayPal Express Checkout. Having the same issue with PayPal Standard when Express is turned off.

People are able to check out when they use their PayPal account to log in and buy something. They are having issues when trying to use just a debit or credit card. There is a momentary circle logo that stays on the center of the page for a half a second before the page refreshes and nothing happens. The error log is empty.

Contacted PayPal merchant services tech support and they said: "I tested the sticker and I'm showing the solutiontype=Mark, and landingpage=billing parameters being passed. Can you update these values so we can rule out that is what's causing the problems? Again you will want to pass either "solutiontype=sole" and "landingpage=billing", or "solutiontype=mark" and "landingpage=login". "

Where would I be able to find and edit this as they requested?

Has anyone else had this issue?

I tried setting solutiontype=mark and landingpage=login but it didn’t even display the option to enter a credit card number.

I have set it to: solutiontype=sole" and "landingpage=billing as they requested and it's still the same issue.

Also to rule out any cacheing of data, had you enabled logging as part of these last two tests to validate what settings were being passed to PayPal?

From it sounds like with them, if it can be confirmed that either sole and billing or mark and login are provided and there is still an issue then it is considered something else.

Also, are you using PayPal in context? Has the merchantid been provided?

Also note, the file path I provided is/was for PayPal express, there is a similar file in that same directory for PayPal standard if you are continuing to compare the two.

Another thing. Is this happening when transitioning from checkout_confirmation to checkout_process or is this from earlier when clicking on the PayPal express button from the shopping cart page or login while on way to checkout?

You do have PayPal debug set to Log file (since the default setting is Off)?

If you set Debug to log-to-file, then you can view the parameters that are being passed.

Try turning off "InContext" checkout in your ZC paypal express checkout settings.
