We had 6 or 7 long-established clients where this table grew to 500,000+ records, and whilst I don't personally understand why, the sites all slowed down considerably...clearing out this table restored all off them to normal, so it must be more than a coincidence.
Just wanted to be sure that the Visitor History was the only thing affected.

Any chance you have a backup of one of those that we could do some testing against? I wonder if an index might help, or whether switching it to InnoDB might help?
