Default Now what do I do?

    site URL: https//fantasiesrealm.com/market
    ZC version: 1.5.7b
    list of plugins: none yet
    PHP version: 7.3

Well try as I could I never got the update option, I could only get the clean install option so I bit the bullet. It erased the DB, as it should do.

Is it possible for me to upload the 1.3.9h DB to myPHPadmin? Will it create more headaches than possible? Or am I left with the only option to just add all products and images from scratch?

All old store files are uploaded to server in the new directory as instructed.

Are you able, anywhere even on a local machine to have gotten the update option with the old database? Basically if you can get the update option to execute off of the previous database anywhere then that updated database could be applied here.

I thought though that DrByte and others had found that there was an issue associated with a change in the way MySql operates in some sub-version of version 8... Where it came down to checking the data type of one of the fields and that the newer system doesn't return the numeric portion of say INT(15).

There's always a way to force the code to perform the database update, though have to know/trust the condition. (having backups helps reduce the risk).

It's also far faster to do that through the zc_install process than to execute each and every script statement individually from 1.3.9 to now...

You *should* be able to get the upgrade option if all the configuration.php file is accurate for your database - check your configuration.php file yet again.

OK, I shall try this again...seems my answer went for a walk, story of this host change and upgrade...LOL

Thanks guys for the answer now to get things straight cause I am going nutsofacto with this host move and filezilla corrupting some files.

I use the same db from original store folder, I have files in a new folder to get things going like instructions stated. then try again with installation and hope for the update. Otherwise if need be I will go from 1.3.9h all the way to this newest version...yikes

It had no problem reading the config files at all just no update button.

If your server is indeed using MySQL 8.0.17 or newer, grab the zc_install directory from github instead, since it contains a fix for MySQL 8: Download ZIP

I don't think that it is that version of mysql

This is what I found on C=Panel:
    Apache Version 2.4.46
    PHP Version 7.3.25
    MySQL Version 5.7.32

Something that I sort of bypassed in the OP. Said that the old files (sounds like 1.3.9h) have been uploaded to the "new" directory. Also talk about the 1.5.7 fileset and then later talk about some "scary" step of going all the way to the current version...

    Help...

I say that because, the current "recommendation" is to effectively install the new code and get the database updated to the new version. As necessary to at some point incorporate other changes... I leave that last sentence that way because of the various potential modifications, interactions, etc...

Anyways, should not be a scary ordeal. Keep backups and carry on. :)
