New Products Not displaying

I upgraded to 1.5.7c from 1.5.6 and all went well except that now, when a customer clicks "New Products" nothing is displayed. The number of new products is there, but nothing is shown.

As you can see, there are 3996 products, but nothing is displayed. I am using the responsive classic template. The PHP version is 8.0.2

Any ideas on how to make them display again.
