    Default Cannot login

I have a site which has been offline for some time as I have been moving house.

Today i tried logging in to ADMIN to put back online......it said the password was over 90 days old but it would not accept ANY password I put in (letters and numbers only).
There was no 'reset password ' button....and I read that sometimes this happens if one includes the www.
So I left that out and got a panel that DID say 'reset password'.

However...I then got a message saying:
"Notice: Email Error: SMTP connect() failed. https://github.com/PHPMailer/PHPMail...roubleshooting
    in /home/u265591456/domains/vintagemagazines.eu/public_html/includes/functions/functions_email.php on line 387

Now I am not that technical so was apprehensive about investigating. I suspect the issue is that the hosting SMTP in ADMin is with a previous hosting company.
How can I get around this and log in to ADMIN?

You can see the database name in your includes/configure.php file.

    I read there..
************ NOTE: This file is VERY similar to, but DIFFERENT from the "admin" version of configure.php. ***********/
/*************** The 2 files should be kept separate and not used to overwrite each other. ***********/

...so...should this be the configure.php in the ADMIN/Includes folder?

one config.php is inside your includes/ folder
Another one is inside your <admin>/includes/ folder

Both files need to be configured properly.

yes....configured properly...but do both need the suggested SQL run for what is an ADMIN login issue......or just the ADMIN config?

both files show the identical database, right?

If yes, this is your database to work with.
