Paid assistance for Sidebox customization

I hope this is ok here as the commercial forum is no longer accepting new posts. Mods feel free to move this to the appropriate forum. I need assistance in creating an all image based side box with categories and sub-categories dislpayed as .gif images. I'd also like to have a product image with a text link under the sub-category listing pages (the page you get when you click on the top category). Right now I just have a list of the banners in the sub category list page. I need to be able to add new images to the sidebox nav as I add new categories & products. I have been unable to figure out how to alter the tpl_categories and create the css styles to achive this on my own. I have read dozens of posts on related topics without being able to do it myself. ***edited***
