Common image for all products in a category

I want to be able to show a few additional images for every product in a category but I can't see a way of doing this. I have cards for sale so I want to show an envelope and maybe the inside of a card which is going to be common for all the cards.

The smaller images works by taking the root name and as every image has to be unique that seems unuseable.

The only other way I can see is to use attributes but this is geared to small icons and they are not clickable to enlarge the view.

Any ideas anyone?

You've got me confused - you want all the images to be the same one?

No not every image the same. Additional is the key. The product has a main image which in this case is a greeting card then I want to show that it comes with an envelope which will be the same for every card. So if:

Product ID#1, image=card_01.jpg\
Product ID#2, image=card_02.jpg \_all share image envelope.jpg
Product ID#3, image=card_03.jpg /
Product ID#4, image=card_04.jpg/

And image appears smaller and underneath the main image where card_01_a.jpg & card_01_b.jpg etc would be.

There's a variety of possibilities;

• Name your images:
  
  card01.jpg=main image of card (exterior?)
  card01_a.jpg= first additional image (interior?)
  card01_b.jpg=envelope image
  
  card02.jpg=main image of card (exterior?)
  card02_a.jpg= first additional image (interior?)
  card02_b.jpg=envelope image (which is a copy of card01_b)
• embed the envelope image in the description.
• Install Image-Handler and utilise the watermarking feature with the envelope as the watermark (I haven't actually tried that but it might work)
• Edit all your images so the card is sitting on the envelope - probably a bit tedious; depends on your image-editing skills.

card01.jpg and card02.jpg are your image basenames; card01_a.jpg, card02_b.jpg etc are seen by ZC as being additional images for the relevant basename and will therefore automatically display on the product info page - as for exact positioning, you will need to edit includes/templates/YOUR_TEMPLATE/templates/tpl_product_info_display.php and probably your stylesheet as well.

Thanks Ryk, I think embedding the envelope image in the description is the way I'll look at, the other options are what I am trying to avoid.

Seems to me there's room for a contrib here.
