Paypal doesn't show the amount

Hi there,

I have a weird problem with the paypal module.

It won't show the shopping cart total on the paypal page (Amount field).

Everything works fine with other payment modules. Only Paypal doesn't work.

The path are set correctly as well as the email address (set to the primary account).

Do you know where this could come from???

I have the same problem, it goes from my site to the paypal page and then it doesn't show the amount in pounds but if i put dollars in it shows up in dollars which is no good cos im from U.K. Can please anyone help us i was hoping to get my site up and running this weekend but need help desperately.

I finally found where the pb came from.

You have to use the paypal International Code which is not standardized.

For example, Canada is CDN and in Paypal it's CAN. That's what screwed up the system.

Try to find on the Paypal site (developer API Documentation) the UK Code and it should be fine.

I am running into this problem with Canadian Dollars. Where does the change need to be made to tell Paypal that the currency is CAN instead of CDN?

it needs to be CAD and this is set under curriencies in admin-> localization

when I do that, the shopping cart numbers go to zero. There must be another setting that needs to be changed???

Anywhere you define the Currency ...

Use CAD ...

Check your Currency settings ...

Did you change your language file? If so, then this too needs to be CAD if using it ...

OK. I changed the language setting Admin : Localization : Currencies to CAD.

Edited, override of english.php to set
define('LANGUAGE_CURRENCY', 'CAD');

Then, in Admin :
Configuration : My Store changed
Switch To Default Language Currency to True (I could not get it to work when it was false)
