    Default Linkpoint API

Has anyone got the most recent Linkpoint API module? Has anyone been able to get it to work?

It seems to be working fine for me.

You've got e-mails blocked. Send me a message & I'll reply back with what I'm using as an attachment. I believe it's the latest.

Thanks to Larry I have the most recent version of the Linkpoint module. However I still can't get the dang thing to work. I verified with my hosting service that port 1129 is open. So thats not the problem. It just sits there thinking for like 5 min and then gives a declined error. When I check at the linkpoint site it shows that no transactions are going through.

Has anyone else dealt with this and how did you solve it...if indeed you DID solve it? I really really really really want to use Zen Cart but if I cant get this to work im gonna have to go with Osc. ICK!

The site in question is www.abcjewelrydepot.com.

    Jason --

Have you tried using a HTTP packet monitor/analyzer to see just what you're sending out & what LinkPoint is sending back (if anything)?

I recommend "HTTP Scoop" if you're on a Macintosh; I'm sure there's something similar for other platforms.

But to answer your underlying question -- no I never saw that particular problem. LinkPoint tech support was able to walk me through the issues I did have (test transactions were always declined, a second 'real' CC transaction was declined after the first went through) fairly quickly. After you've verified that the proper HTTP is getting sent, then I'm sure they can help track down what's going on on their end of the line.

    Good luck,

    Hooray! It's WORKING!

I got a note from my hosting service saying that they actually had NOT opened port 1129 until just a few moments ago. So I ran a couple of test transaction and bingo! It works. I checked with Linkpoint and sure enough there were the declined charges in the reports section.

    Thank you Larry!

    Hello Jason,

I am also trying to make LinkPoint API work on my shopping cart. Do you mind telling me how you made it work?

Maybe giving the step by step installation and how to make your link secure?

I have been getting some errors and it will not work.

I would truly appreciate your help on this.

    Thanks.

Since these guys changed the site, all the downloads are gone. It could be weeks before they're available again. Could some nice person upload the current linkpoint API to their web server and post a link for me to download it? Or, actually, I think it's possible to post attachments to the forums. I would be grateful!!!

    Virtue, Jason & all --

The file is a bit too large to post here, it's about 40KB bigger than the forum software allows.

Feel free to drop me a line, & I'll reply back with it as an attachment.
