I see posts about this in the archive but there seems to be no answer. I'm having the same problem, permissions set correctly, ftp'd the configure.php several times, changed permissions using both command line and gui style, nothing works!
This is very annoying, I want to finish the upgrade but I can't get past this problem.

1. what are your system specs?
2. what is the URL to your zc_install/techsupp.php?
3. what exactly do you mean when you say "want to finish the upgrade" ? (cuz in many cases you don't need to touch the configure.php files to do an upgrade... but that depends on what "upgrade" you're doing....).
