Sales Report confusion

Im using 1.3.1 i believe, and i never really looked at the sales report, however when i did, i noticed some things that could be added to it.

I came here to find maybe a new version of the sales report, and i saw v1.4-2.0 however i cant seem to find where to download them.

also, im wondering why the sales report dont deduct refunds from the order. I have my order status setup as normal, but i added Refunded, and Partial Refund to the list. now when i do a refund i set them to that status, but the report dont seem to refelct this when i run a month.

Maybe im doing something wrong, i dont know. If anyone could give me some tips on how they handle there sales report, that would be great. Maybe there is a better report out there that shows more information and shows the refunded amounts as -100.00 or whatever.
