I was wondering if anyone has worked out how to change it to use it if your store is in a directory (ie not in the route).

Hey Reesy, maybe I'm confused by your question -- but my store is not in the root and the yahootreemenu works great for me. Maybe you're referring to a post by Andrew that says categories.php needs to be in the root. That's because that file in the contrib was just floating outside of the folder structure and confused some of us where to put it. Anyway, he means to place it in the root of your shop, whereever that might be.
By the way, I just compared the standard categories sidebox to the yahootreemenu -- I went from 1100 database queries on a random page with the standard cat sidebox to 85 with andrew's contrib! Wow!
Currently using ZEN CART v. 1.3.6
Hi Majicpants,
Thanks for your reply. I can also confirm that it works wonders, and the main reason I implemented it was as you said that your query number can be drastically reduced.
I actually got a bit confused and was refering to one of Andrew`s other contribs (also using ajax) which doesnt currently work if your site is in a directory.
Please excuse any confusion on my part.
Thanks
James

What's different about the food category? What's at the next level? Just categories? Or are products mixed in?
Can you try to figure out if the food category differs in any way from the other categories? Have you tried creating a new category, and reimporting the products into that category to see if it works?

Can anyone tell me how to change name YahooMenu to Categories ?I think i need change that name...
This addon is so cool
admin>tools>developerstoolkit>enter whatever text you like into the very bottom box et voila it will tell you in which files that text is.
This is definately one of the best contribs Ive come across and I think it should be integrated into the next version of zen cart personally!
My humble contributions....
Info at a Glance Admin, Alternative Header & Improved Whos Online + Currently working on the next!
If you have to think..... your obviously looking at the admin :)
Copy the following file:
includes/languages/english/extra_definitions/yahootreemenu.php
And save to your override directory:
includes/languages/english/extra_definitions/YOUR_TEMPLATE/yahootreemenu.php
And if you have another language, also save it to your override directory of another language:
includes/languages/YOUR_LANGUAGE/extra_definitions/YOUR_TEMPLATE/yahootreemenu.php
Then modify the line below:
Please note, only change the text YahooMenu to the text you prefer. And do not change the two quotation marks ' '.define('BOX_HEADING_YAHOO_TREEMENU', 'YahooMenu';
.
A New Starter again
