Group Pricing/Approval Status not working

I am trying to set up the GROUP PRICING option for my trade customers however when they log in no discount is applied. I have attached the discount pricing group to the relevant customers and enabled the group pricing module in MODULES > ORDER TOTAL > GROUP DISCOUNT
Any Ideas?

Also the customer approval status is not working ie: approved, pending ect could this be connected to the problem

Note: the Group Discount only displays during the checkout at this time ...
