Problems Setting Up Coupons

I went to admin> gift certificates/coupons> coupon admin to make them. I've filled out all of the options for the coupons, and then when I create them, in my list of coupons they come up as being for 0 dollars and without any description even though I had originally filled out both of these options. I've tried both free shipping and coupons for dollar amounts. I had set the time the coupons could be used for todays' date, but they keep coming up as not being valid until 11/30/2036. I dont really know what's going on! Anyone?

edit: I should also add that they also do not have any coupon code.

Is this an old Windows server you've installed on? The reason I ask is that in the recesses of my mind I remember an old bug with date handling on old Windows servers. I can't remember the fix though - so that's not a lot of help.

Dates are entered as: mm/dd/yyyy in the Admin ...

How are you entering your dates?

I'm entering them that way. I've also tried just using the default date which is today's date. But I think there must be some other larger problem because after submitting the coupon, in the active coupons area it resets them to be 0 dollars in value, with no coupon code and the date of 11/30/2036.

Also, I'm going to be completely honest and say I have no idea what a server is. I'm using a new computer if that in anyway helps.

Go to the Tools ... Server Info ...

Grab everything from beneath the menu bar to the PHP Version ... and paste it here to give us an idea of what kind of server you are on and the Zen Cart version you think you are using vs the version the code thinks it is using ...

I just tried to create coupons again today, and it actually appears to be working now. How odd.
