0 DB_ Error on 1.2.6 after creating new db for 1.3.1?

ok, so I'm having a massively weird issue at www.FraggleReef.com with upgrading to 1.3.1. I copied all of the files for 1.3.1 into /test, 1.2.6 is installed in /zen, and created a new database called fragg2_zc3, the db for 1.2.6 is fragg2_zc1. All of a sudden, I try to use the live store 1.2.6 and it comes up 0 DB_ERROR_NOT_CONNECTED, which is strange, since it leads me to believe that somehow creating a new db for 1.3.1 messed up the config files for 1.2.6, even though I didn't touch the 1.2.6 db or the 1.2.6 config files. can anyone help with what the issue could be? I deleted the new zc3 db, and deleted the 1.3.1 files from the server, still nothing, equally as important as fixing it is figuring out what went wrong, and how to prevent it in the future, since I'd like to update to 1.3.1, thanks much in advance

nevermind, issue solved, it seems that my db automatically changed all databases to the new pw, and it had to be updated in the configure.php files
