Admin works but cant access store
Can anyone help? Have gone throught the setup process no problem, MySQL setup no problem, can access admin no problem but when accessing store, get an error:
"
Internal Server Error
The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request.
Please contact the server administrator, advancedsupport AT doteasy DOT com and inform them of the time the error occurred, and anything you might have done that may have caused the error.
More information about this error may be available in the server error log.
Apache/2.0.50 (Fedora) Server at www.quay.tv Port 80
"
When I look for an error log I find this entry:
http://www.quay.tv/shop/zc_install/i...nguage=english
[Mon Jun 05 07:57:42 2006] [error] [client 81.153.7.113] Premature end of script headers: php-script, referer: http://www.quay.tv/shop/zc_install/i...nguage=english
Any ideas?

Re: Admin works but cant access store
If the whole install was completed successfully then it should not be looking for the install folder. Check in your includes/configure.php file to make sure that it is set up correctly and has all of the information that it should have.
Also make sure that you have reset the permissions on that file following the end of the install procedure.

Re: Admin works but cant access store
thanks for the advice. I tried resetting the CHMOD values and it made no difference.
I did a complete restart using the latest version and exactly the same thing happened again. The install is clean and teh admin area works fine, just still thsi 500 Internal server error again.
any help appreciated

Re: Admin works but cant access store
These 500-internal-server-error messages are tough to troubleshoot, because they can be caused by all kinds of things.
The errorlog info you shared doesn't seem to be relevant to attempts to open your /shop/ files. Sometimes the errorlog isn't updated right away as caching prevents you from being able to get all the latest entries. Perhaps grabbing the errorlog again may help find more information about attempts to access the /shop/index.php area.
You could also try temporarily renaming the /includes/.htaccess file to htaccess_bak to see if there's a directive in there that's conflicting with your server's configuration.
(Not a big fan of doteasy hosting)

Re: Admin works but cant access store
One particular thing to look for. If you have (post-install) any files with full permissions (777) that will often result in a 500 error.
