    Default Bypassing the shopping cart

    Hi guys,

Hope my question will make sense...

Is there a way to disable the entire interfact of zen-cart, and just use as a checkout tool?

In other words, I don't have very many products, and I would much rather have the flexibility of using standard HTML and making all my pages look different (rather than the way they would all be in a similar layout if it was a shopping cart)

I want to have a "Buy 1 Now" type button next to each product or on each product page, and that should link to the product in zen-cart but I want them to go direct to a checkout page.

I want to use Zen-cart's gift-certificate, discounts, ect... features, but not the whole zen-cart shopping cart.

So is there a way to create links directly to products and then have the client get sent to their 'checkout page' (which can have a 'continue shopping' link that would send them back to my site so they can add to their order and then check out.)

Hope this makes sense.. I'm just looking for a way to use the shopping cart without having the client be in a shopping cart type interface as I don't want my site to look like a shopping cart.

    Any ideas?

    Thanks,
    Nathalie

That is not what Zen Cart was designed for. Note you can make the pages look different by using CSS and the templates.

I know... it's just all overkill for my needs... so is there a way to do what I need?

    Thanks

Not without a lot of custom work. You would be better off to find a simple cart back end.
