    Linda,
everything is there, and I can log into my admin without a problem.

Can I just run the sql file through phpmyadmin (the upgrade from .01 to .02)?

If you can login to admin fine, then you should be able to use the same username/password to do the database-upgrade in zc_install.

If it's not working, then you're either pointing to the wrong database, or you're entering the wrong username/password.

Most often people get confused and think that they need to enter the username/password from the configure.php file in the database-upgrade screen. This is incorrect. You need to use the username/password you use to access the Admin pages.

If you attempt to run the SQL via phpMyAdmin you not only run the risk of not updating the right database, but also leaving your configure.php files potentially pointing to the wrong place.... and then you'll be coming back and asking why all your products are missing, or why changes you're making aren't showing up where they're expected.
