Need Gift Card module

Okay I have my giftcard module is working...

but for some reason when I have it installed my CC modules doesn't work. No matter what # I enter it says it is invalid. I uninstall the giftcard module and bam...it works again.

Not a clue as to what is going on right now as they aren't sharing any of the same classes/functions/files.

After about an hour of work I figured out why it was conflicting with the credit card module. So problem 1 is solved.

I am just releasing these files to help move development along. I would not recommend using them yet. As of now they are coded to only work with the prefix 6019 which is what my store uses. I'd like to create a wishlist here and slowly start working on those features. I'll start is so feel free to add.

I'm not sure how apllicable it would be to code a way to check for a custom format. Since giftcards all have their own format. It seems the best way would to probably check for just length. Please discuss.

This module still hasn't been tested fully so please use at your own risk.

Updates:
1. Removed my custom prefix. Now anyone can test/use the module.
2. Added a user defined card length in admin/modules/payment/giftcard.
3. Added a user defined card name in admin/modules/payment/giftcard.
4. Cleaned up the code a bit. There are still a few output errors.

Ok I installed. Seems to be working ok I think. HOW do you issue someone a $ amount and number and it doesn't go over the limit.

I am confused as to what you mean by this question...

This is a payment module. That being said, it allows store owners to accept a custom gift card the same way you would accept a credit card. I designed it because my store is based arround an established retail store. We have been custom gift cards that our credit card merchant offers for years. It only seemed right to allow customers to use these online as well as in the retail store.

It looks to me like you are looking for some sort of Store Credit module where a customer can have credit applied to their account etc. Unfortunately that isn't what this mod is.

What was your card length set to?

Correct.
If you check out my orginal post on "Store Credit" I was led to this thread thinking this was what I was looking for.
My kid & I have modified the "GV" package for Store Credit and SO FAR, SO GOOD. I'm using it now live BUT i don't not have a Gift Certificate package now. I need to get it where they can both work together in the same store. We are getting close and then we will need a "Guinea Pig" for it though since I'm worried there is a slight chance of taking my site down for a few hours. I can't afford that!! :) I'm going to go back to my orginal thread here:

I'm actually looking for a way to give a certain individual or company a pre-set amount of credit they can spend per month. I will manually re-set this every time they make a payment towards paying the balance. So basically what I want is something they can select at checkout that is like "Use your store credit towards this purchase?" And they can use that instead of paying through CC or COD.
